Restaurant Saaristo, on Island Klippan, opens 1st of May

The building located on island Klippan (in Finnish Luoto) in front of park Kaivopuisto with magnificent surroundigs is one of Helsinki’s most traditional and impressive restaurants. The empire-style villa, designed year 1898 by architect Selim Lindqvist, is part of Finnish culture heritage and important part of Helsinki’s scenery. There are total 420 seats inside and 250 on the terrace.

The Real Estate Department of Helsinki rented the traditional Restaurant Klippan to A&S Restaurants and the lease of premises started in January 2010. The restaurant will operate under name Restaurant Saaristo.

The family-owned A&S Restaurants has worked hard to improve the quality and memorable experiences in restaurant business. Klippan has been said to be Helsinki’s balcony to the sea and raising the restaurant to it’s glory and to one of the best restaurant experiences of Helsinki is an honour to A&S Restaurants.

At Restaurant Saaristo, on Klippan, A&S Restaurants will offer versatile, quality lunch during weekdays and Sunday brunches are for the whole family. What would be a better way to crown the summer weekend than to have brunch on an beautiful island. Bright Friday-evenings are reserved for delicious dinners and live music. In August and September we will also serve Finnish crayfish.

The best parties of the summer are being held in Restaurant Saaristo, on Island Klippan – large dining room gives the best premises to business events, gala dinners, crayfish parties and weddings!
