Put out to sea - welcome to Saari!

Restaurant Saari is located on the island Sirpalesaari just a stone’s throw from the centre of Helsinki. Saari provides the best Finnish delicacies of the season from land and sea as well as stunning views and genuine maritime atmosphere. 

A boat serves the island every hour and half from the Saari pier located on the shore of Merisatama. The crossing (n.200 m) takes only a couple of minutes. Also a few berths are available for guests arriving at the restaurant aboard their own boats.

Good tastes of Finland and the archipelago

The Restaurant Saari specializes in Finnish and island delicacies. Fresh fish, Finnish meat and cheeses, as well as tasty Finnish vegetables are the secret of our popularity. A la carte provides for example "Fish catch of the day", lamb and beef. Our classic dishes Sligtly salted salmon flavoured with tar, Tar flavoured ice cream and Flisholmen Island-style pancake have remained on the menu since year 2000.

You can enjoy the delicacies of Saari either in the rich atmosphere of the dining room, in the “Captain’s Cabin” of the private room Sampo or on the sunny outdoor terrace overlooking one of the most magnificent views in Helsinki.

Saari provides a unique milieu also for family celebrations and private events. During crayfish season Saari is one of the most popular restaurants for a crayfish party.
