Both the building and the restaurant have a vivid and long history. The best stories come from peoples’ personal memories. These memories reveal languid dinners during summer’s nightless nights gazing at the sea, passionate dancing of youth on the dance floor and the long, alcohol-drenched lunches. This restaurant has been the scene for many crayfish season festivities with their schnapps songs, multiple wedding waltzes and business parties. For Eino Leino, the Finnish poet, this was the ultimate place to celebrate Vappu, First of May. There are many memories and stories to choose from. Scandinavian tastes, Sunday Brunches, Summery Lunches, Crayfish parties...

Saaristo's menu offers the best delicacies of Scandinavian cuisine. Sunday Brunch is served every Sunday from 19th of May until 1st of September and summery lunch is served weekdays from 13th of May until end of August. From 22nd of July until end of September it's time for traditional crayfish parties.

A connection boat serves from the Saaristo's pier located south of the Olympia terminal, next to the Peace Statue. The boat fee will automatically be added to your restaurant bill.
